PGA "SUPER HEROS" GYM FEST UPDATE
Here is an update for the PGA “SUPER HEROS” Gym Fest coming April 28th & 29th.
Uniforms: Girls & Boys Many of you have already picked up the leotards for the girls. The boys uniforms will be ready soon, and tickets will go on sale at the front desk starting Saturday, April 2nd.
There are 10 sessions, (2) on Friday, April 15th and (8) on Saturday, April 16th. Find the session where your child’s name is listed and note the times for the sessions. In most cases we were able to get families with more than 1 student in the same or back-to-back sessions. We were not able to accommodate everyone because of the difference in the format of various sessions. (Sorry)
Check In: Will be in the back of the building (Garage Door) We have left a 20 minute window between sessions so that the people finishing can leave before the next group arrives. Hopefully this will help with the crazy parking situation. Please don’t arrive more than 15 minutes early or you will be waiting outside to get in. Also don’t be late, so we can start on time. We don’t want the kids to miss their Grand March In
Each session should last about an hour. There will be seating in the gym (chairs & bleachers) and don’t forget to bring your camera. The gym will be decorated in a “Pirates” theme and we will be doing a March in and Introductions before the kids begin performing at each session. There will be up to 8 squads all performing all at the same time. After each squad finishes, they will march to their next event. When all of the squads are finished, we will present awards to each of the kids. The older kids will be judged by members of PGA’s competitive team program and will receive achievement awards based on a score range rather than a place. They will also receive a special custom “Pirates” All Around Medal and goodie bag.
The kids have been working hard on their routines and are excited to perform. Remember, this is for fun!!! Our goal is for the children to experience a fun gymnastics exhibition style competition. We want them to be able to show off the skills that they have been practicing even if they have not quite mastered all of them yet. Our coaches will be assisting every child if they need a spot or a reminder of "what comes next?”
